Protein the New Fiber?

Last year everything had added fiber and I am curious if this year will be added protein????

Spotted on Shelves...

Nature Valley Bars

Nature Valley Protein Chewy Bars - The company best known for crunchy granola bars has added treats with a protein boost to its chewy-bar lineup. The brand-new bars come in two flavors -- Peanut Butter Dark Chocolate and Peanut, Almond & Dark Chocolate.  Each bar has 190 calories, 12g fat, 170 - 180mg sodium, 14g carbs, 5g fiber, 6g sugars, and 10g protein (PointsPlus® value 5*).

It makes me wonder about all the “ADDED” things to our foods.

However, on another note one thing I do like about Nature Valley is that Nature Valley is  involved in the National Parks Project.

AND………

Speaking of National Parks…….Do you have one near you? Well get out there because this weekend the parks have free admission!! So get out your hiking boots and dust off your water pack!

I am close to Valley Forge Park. It's a beautiful park to walk and hike. I am not too sure about those Protien bars. I don't like to spend that many calories on a bar.
